Our Organist
Our organist, Joseph Fetters, began playing for us in October, 2008. Joe earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in keyboard and saxophone performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Joe has played for many Lutheran and Episcopal congregations over the years. He and his wife, Elizabeth, served as youth choir directors at Zion Lutheran Church in Indiana, PA.
Joe moved to Ohio and completed two Master of Music degrees in performance and conducting at Kent State University. While living in Ohio, Joe served at St. Andrew's Episcopal in Barberton and as a substitute for Trinity Lutheran in Kent.
In 2005, both Joe and Elizabeth were offered teaching positions in Maryland. Joe is currently teaching at Harford Tech. His courses include band, orchestra, jazz band, and music survey classes.
Our Möller Pipe Organ
In 2003-2004 we replaced our electronic organ with a Möller pipe organ. Originally too large for our available space, organ builder Ray Brunner of Silver Springs, Lancaster, PA, reduced its width, stacked its components (for our almost unlimited ceiling height), and reconditioned the instrument. A beautiful new case was designed and built to match the historical architecture of our 19th century sanctuary. We have enjoyed the strength and vitality that a pipe organ adds to our music-making.
Senior Choir
We presently have a dedicated adult choir of ten to fifteen singers. The choir leads the congregation in the hymns and presents an offertory anthem each Sunday between September and May.
Senior Choir rehearses in the parish hall music room on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Come join us for singing and fellowship.
